Ashutosh (born 1965) is a former Indian TV journalist, turned politician of the Aam Aadmi Party. He is the spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party. He was previously associated with IBN7, of TV18 group, as Managing Editor. He contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Chandni Chowk against Kapil Sibal of Congress and Harsh Vardhan of the BJP.〔 .〕 He garnered more votes than Kapil Sibal of the Congress, but lost out to Dr Harsh Vardhan of the BJP. ==Early life and education== Ashutosh was born as Ashutosh Gupta in 1965 in Varanasi, where his father was an income tax officer. He graduated in science from Allahabad University. He earned an M. Phil. (Soviet Studies) and M.A. (Philosophy & International Studies) from Jawahar Lal Nehru University, New Delhi. During Mandal Commission protests of 1990, Ashutosh dropped his last name in a bid to dissociate himself with his caste identity in public life.
